We go through life and business obsessing about things that we feel are important. . . Maybe it is for the current season of life that you're in. .Maybe it's just the stories that we're telling ourselves. . . But many of us don't know, that the actions, activities, and alignment that we take today directly affects our 5-year-from-now self. . . Right now, "systems" and "automation" are the rage; the next thing you need to do if you want to scale. . Unfortunately many owners are being sold into the "easy" solution of "just automate whatever you can". Doing this as a quick fix of your immediate pain will directly affect where you will be in five years. . Before you "automate", take the time to ANALYZE your systems. Redefine its functions, purpose and results. . Ask yourself: 💠 Are there any overlapping functions with another tool? 💠 Am I able to consolidate some tools? 💠 What's working well with this tool? 💠 What's not working well? Can we overcome it? 💠 Will it carry me for the next 3 - 5 years or will I outgrow it sooner? (why should this matter? I'll tell you in an IG story soon!) . . Take the time to evaluate and validate it to your "grand plan". If you take this approach to implement change, or systemize methodically, your 5-year-self will thank you at that time. . . . Lately, I've been growing roots deeper into my core foundation and framework. ⠀ ⠀ Do you find yourself still in reflection mode even though it's three weeks into 2019? ⠀ ⠀ I surely am! Instead of moving with velocity into 2019, I've been walking with intention. Some of us may be spending more time reflecting than others, but don't let turn into fear that holds us from advancing. We wait and try to "explore other options" that we've ended up in analysis paralysis. ⠀ ⠀ Here's the thing. As much as we attempt to create a roadmap, we need to create contingency into that plan. ⠀ ⠀ Because your situation and circumstances can change, which will call for adaptability. ⠀ ⠀ You'll be challenged with discouragement if you don't see results in your first 90 days of taking action, of following your roadmap. Expect it. Because you will see your fruits, harvest and results in the NEXT 90 days afterwards. So don't give up on the consistency. ⠀ ⠀ Keep taking action towards your goals and dreams. ⠀ ⠀ In case you've forgotten what they are already, write it down. What are you attracting for your week? . . . Success isn't by chance. It's by design, intention, and action. . . .
